On-site measurement and fabrication coordination
Maintenance & Repair
Aluminium Joinery
Measurement, installation and repair for windows, doors and sliding systems.

When do you need this?
Most problems with aluminium joinery come not from the profile itself but from measurement and installation detail: a wrong dimension, an unfilled gap between frame and wall or a blocked drainage slot is enough to turn a good system into a window that lets in water and draughts. We first establish on site whether an existing frame can be put right by adjustment, part replacement or renewal. For new units we set out the dimensions, profile type and fixing details in the written scope, and coordinate the glazing unit with our glass work in the same programme.
- A sliding sash that drags or jumps off its track
- Water and draughts coming in around the window
- A handle, lock or hinge that spins loose or has broken
- A cracked joint between frame and wall, leaving a gap outside
- Condensation and a cold feel on the frame in winter

FAQ
Questions about this service
Can I enclose my balcony in an apartment building?
Because enclosing a balcony changes the look of the facade, building management approval may be needed in an apartment block. We recommend settling that before any work begins; technical suitability, fixing points and rainwater drainage are then established at survey.
Do thermal-break profiles really make a difference?
Aluminium conducts heat readily, so a frame without a thermal break gets cold in winter and condensation can form on its inner face. A thermal-break profile separates the inner and outer faces with an insulating strip and reduces that effect. For heated rooms we recommend it, assessed together with the glazing unit.
Why does water come in under my sliding door?
The most common cause is drainage slots blocked by dirt and dust collected in the track. Worn seals, a sill without enough outward fall or an open joint between frame and wall can produce the same symptom; we tell them apart at survey and write the scope accordingly.
