Daylight orientation and artificial light in each room
Design & Décor
Colour Selection
Room-by-room colour decisions tested on the actual wall, in real light.

When do you need this?
A shade that looks warm on the colour card can turn cold and greyish in a north-facing room, or yellower than expected in a living room that takes southern light; the difference comes from the undertone of the colour and the light the room receives. EVİZO studies the daylight orientation of each room and the artificial light used in the evening, applies shortlisted shades as large sample patches on the actual walls and reviews them with you at different times of day. Approved decisions become a written colour schedule by room and surface; the painting team works from that schedule, and no painting starts before you approve it.
- A colour that looked right on the card but looks completely different on the wall
- A north-facing room that feels colder and darker after painting
- A new colour that clashes with the floor, doors and curtains
- Matt paint in the kitchen and hallway that marks easily and will not wipe clean
- A different colour in every room, so the home feels disjointed

Why does the colour we chose from the card look different on the wall?
A small chip on a colour card does not show the undertone or how the shade behaves in the light of the room. The same shade cools in north light and warms in south light or under warm-white lamps, so the decision is made after viewing large patches on the wall in the morning, at midday and in the evening.
Which sheen level suits which room?
A matt finish shows small wall imperfections less and gives living rooms and bedrooms a calm look. In areas that are wiped often, such as the kitchen and hallway, eggshell is the better choice, while satin is usually more durable in bathrooms and on surfaces handled often, such as doors and frames. The sheen level is written into the schedule separately for each surface.
Can colour selection also be done online?
Yes. Colour guidance can also be given online as part of a design project with EVİZO Online Interior Design. Because screens do not show colour accurately, we still recommend painting the shortlisted shades as sample patches on the wall and viewing them at different times of day before the final decision.
