Bathroom Renovation
Complete bathroom renewal from waterproofing to tiling.

When do you need this?
The quality of a bathroom renovation is decided by the waterproofing and the drainage falls beneath the tiles, not by the tiles you see. After strip-out we reassess the exposed pipework and floor levels, then define the waterproofing layer, the wet-zone boundaries and the ventilation solution as separate items in the scope.
- Water reaching the neighbour below
- Darkened grout and hollow-sounding tiles
- Leaks around the shower tray or bathtub
- Wrong floor falls, so water never reaches the drain
- A bathroom that does not dry out and keeps growing mould

FAQ
Questions about this service
Can I use the bathroom during the renovation?
The bathroom is out of use during strip-out and waterproofing. If there is no second bathroom in the flat we allow for that in the plan and tell you in advance which stages leave the water off.
Can new tiles be laid over the old ones?
It is possible where the existing tiles are sound, not hollow, and the waterproofing beneath them is intact. Where there is a leak or a mould complaint, opening up the surface is the sounder decision.
Is waterproofing really necessary?
Yes. Tiles and grout are not a waterproof layer; the real barrier in a wet room is the membrane beneath them. When that layer is skipped, the problem usually shows up on the ceiling below.
