When do you need this?
A suspended ceiling is not only a decorative layer; it resolves services, lighting and an uneven soffit at the same time. We set out the supporting frame, the height it will take and the lighting layout before work starts, and note the use of moisture-resistant board in wet rooms as a separate scope item.

Questions about this service
How much height does a suspended ceiling take?
The loss depends on the frame type, the services passing above it and the depth of the downlights. We measure the existing height at survey and state the resulting clear height in the written scope.
Can plasterboard be used in a bathroom?
Yes, with moisture-resistant board and suitable framing. Standard board is not used in wet rooms because it softens over time.
Does cove lighting need its own circuit?
The existing lighting circuit is usually enough, but where the switching arrangement calls for a separate group, running a new circuit is added to the scope. This is settled at survey.
